How to Apply

Determine Eligibility Route ▾Decide if you will apply by completing a state-approved training program or by 'challenging' the exam (requires being 18+ with a high school diploma).

Register with Prometric ▾Florida uses Prometric as the testing vendor. Create an account and submit your application for the CNA competency exam.

Submit Fingerprints ▾Complete a Level II background screening via an approved Livescan vendor using ORI number EDOH0380Z.

Receive Authorization to Test (ATT) ▾Once the Board reviews your application and background check, Prometric will send an ATT email to schedule your exam.

Initial License Issuance ▾After passing both exam parts, the Board will issue your electronic license, which can be downloaded from the MQA portal.
