How to Apply

Create a MiPLUS Account ▾Register for an account on the Michigan Professional Licensing User System (MiPLUS) to start your application.

Submit Online Application ▾Complete the Speech-Language Pathologist application and pay the required fee ($187.40 for initial licensure).

Complete Criminal Background Check ▾After submitting your application, you will receive an Application Confirmation letter with a Customer ID. Use this to schedule fingerprinting through IdentoGO. Do not get fingerprinted before receiving this ID.
Schedule Fingerprinting -
Submit Educational and Exam Proof ▾Arrange for official transcripts from your CAA-accredited program and Praxis scores (Recipient Code 7430) to be sent directly to the Board. If you hold ASHA CCC-SLP, you may have ASHA send verification directly to bypass transcript and exam requirements.

Verify Clinical Experience ▾If not ASHA certified, have your supervisor submit the Postgraduate Clinical Experience form verifying 1,260 hours of supervised practice.
