How to Apply

  1. Create MOPRO Account ▾
    Register for an account on the Missouri Professional Registration (MOPRO) portal to begin the online application process.

  2. Complete Application and Jurisprudence Exam ▾
    Fill out the application form. All initial applicants must complete the Jurisprudence Examination (Section L of the application) and achieve a score of at least 75%.
  3. Submit Application Fee ▾
    Pay the $25 non-refundable application fee. If applying by paper, make checks payable to the Missouri Board of Healing Arts.
  4. Request Official Transcripts ▾
    Have your university send official transcripts directly to the Board. A doctoral degree in audiology is required for initial licensure.
  5. Submit Praxis Scores ▾
    Request that your Praxis examination scores be sent directly to the Board from ETS.

  6. Complete Fingerprint Background Check ▾
    Register with the Missouri Automated Criminal History Site (MACHS) using ORI number MO931108Z to schedule a fingerprinting appointment.

    Provide a chronological listing of all professional and non-professional activities from high school to the present (Section M of the application).

Audiologists licensed in another state can often apply via endorsement by providing license verification and current certification.

Steps

  1. Verify Reciprocity Eligibility ▾
    Applicants holding a current ASHA CCC-A or a license in another state with equivalent standards may apply by reciprocity.
  2. Submit Application and Fee ▾
    Complete the standard application form and pay the $25 fee. Note that reciprocity applicants are generally exempt from submitting transcripts and Praxis scores.
  3. Submit Verification of Licensure ▾
    Request official verification of licensure from every state where you have ever held a license.
  4. Complete Jurisprudence Exam ▾
    Even reciprocity applicants must complete the Missouri Jurisprudence Exam included in the application.

Missing Notarization ▾
The application must be signed in the presence of a notary public; otherwise, it is invalid.
Incorrect ORI Number ▾
Using the wrong ORI number for fingerprints (MO931108Z) will cause results to be sent to the wrong agency.
