Schedule an appointment with the Nebraska State Patrol for a criminal background check. You must pay the required fee ($15.50 for state check) to the State Patrol.

Request that your official transcripts showing proof of a doctoral degree in Audiology be sent directly from your academic institution to the DHHS Licensure Unit.

Request official PRAXIS exam scores be sent to the Nebraska Board (Score Recipient Code: 7646).

No. Licensed Nebraska Audiologists are exempt from the requirement to obtain a Hearing Instrument Specialist license to dispense hearing instruments.

How many continuing education (CE) hours are required for renewal?

Licensees must complete 20 hours of approved continuing education every two years. A current ASHA CCC-A can be used to satisfy this requirement.
