How to Apply

  1. Complete Education
    Graduate from a physical therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
  2. Register for the NPTE
    Create an account with the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) and register for the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).

How many CE hours are required for renewal?
Physical Therapists must complete 40 hours of continuing education every two years. Physical Therapist Assistants must complete 20 hours.
